The best airport to fly into is Munich, Franz Joseph Strauss (MUC), from which we arrange round-trip bus transportation to Liesing. The bus departs Munich airport at approximately 3 PM on July 14, arriving in Liesing for dinner at roughly 8 PM. For the return trip back, please plan on having your flight leave Munich no earlier than 2 PM on Sunday, July 28, as the bus trip to Munich is at least 4 hours long. The bus will leave Liesing between 6 AM and 7 AM that day. The cost of the round-trip bus ride between Munich and Liesing is €130 (€65 per direction).
If you wish to reach Liesing on your own, airports to fly into are Trieste, Venice, Klagenfurt, or Munich. For any airport other than Munich MUC, you are responsible for your own transportation to Liesing.
Should you wish to take a train, the nearest stations are Sillian, Kötschach-Mauthen, and Oberdrauburg (see map below). It is not always easy to get a taxi at these stations so it is best to arrange transportation beforehand. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist picking people up at stations, but can help to arrange taxi service.
Important Note: It is not advised that you land in Vienna on July 14, as it is a 6-7 hour train ride or drive from Vienna.
