Auditors, Family and Friends
Auditors are welcome, and are considered active participants in the festival’s activities throughout the 14 days of the festival.
For family fun, there are many wonderful hiking trails and historical Austrian villages to visit. Enjoy a day of fun in nearby Lienz, and ride the Osttirodler, an Alpine coaster located on the Hochstein ski region, or take a day to relax at the world class spa https://www.almwellness.com/en/ in Tuffbad.
There is now a yearly festival sunrise hike with a hayride up to the top of the mountain. After a quick tea and snack, we embark on a 45 minute hike that starts in the dark to the peak to watch the sun rise over the mountains at 5:20am. It is a magical experience that can be enjoyed by the whole family old enough to hike.
The area around Liesing is a treasure trove of beauty and adventure, just waiting for you to discover it.
Please visit our Activities page for some ideas of how visitors of all ages can have an exciting and fulfilling time in the Lesachtal.
ALL AUDITORS MUST FILL OUT AN APPLICATION.
Find the link to the Online Application here.
The Auditor Cost of €100 covers the following: entry into all concerts, rehearsals, lectures and masterclasses, official festival excursions and covers our administrative costs.
The cost for an auditor to attend AlpenKammerMusik does NOT include food, hotel accommodations and the cost of airfare to and from Austria.
€400 – meal plan (is in addition to the €100 auditor cost to attend)
The optional meal plan, which covers lunch and dinner, is available to auditors and friends and family of AKM participants. If you wish to take care of meal costs separately, you are free to do so, but the meal plan does offer the advantage of simplicity. The meal plan does NOT include dessert or drinks other than water. The €400 meal plan fee is non-refundable June 10, 2020 and after.
The festival, in conjunction with the Liesing tourist office, will assist in reserving hotel rooms in Liesing, but the payment of those accommodations is to be handled individually at checkout by each participant at the end of the festival. All hotels offer breakfast as part of your accommodation. Please visit the Accommodations page for more information.
We strongly recommended that an auditor arrange for the use of a rental car while in Austria. Liesing is a remote town and public transportation runs on a very limited schedule. Having a rental car allows one to reach many areas of the Lesachtal that public transportation would otherwise not allow. On their own time, auditors may also want to visit cities in the surrounding area such as Cortina (Italy), Klagenfurt, Lienz, Villach and more. Visit the Travel Information page for more information.
